East Bay Free Methodist Church (5395 Potrero Avenue, El Cerrito)
The East Bay Methodist Church and East Bay Japanese School are hosting a huge yard sale that includes baked goods, Japanese food, がんばれ,日本t-shirts, books, furniture, clothes, shoes, toys, baby items, pottery, accessories and more! They will be accepting cash only and proceeds from the event will be donated to Japan’s most devastated areas via the Japan Free Methodist churches.

Drink for Japan Fundraiser

JETAANC will be hosting another fundraiser for Japan, this time at 800 Larkin in San Francisco! The owner of the bar has kindly offered to donate use of the lounge space, will offer a drink special of which 100% of the proceeds will go to Japan, food for the event, all on top of making a personal contribution to the JETAA Relief Fund.

Hiroshima Benefit Concert
Hiroshima is a jazz/fusion group that has been performing for the past 30 years. They were featured last year on the cover of the Pacific Citizen (National Publication of the Japanese American Citizen’s League newspaper). Dan Kuramoto, the band leader has announced the release of their newest CD called “Legacy” and June Kuramoto (koto player) has just released her solo CD “Under the Stars”. All net proceeds above the concert ticket cost will be sent to JCCCNC (Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California.). All profit from ticket and CD sales will be sent for earthquake relief in Northern Japan. No administrative costs are being collected here or in Japan.
